Item description:
c. 1968 vintage, late 135mm f4 M39 / Nikon S RF Bayonet Mount Bellows / Macro lens.
This is an uncommon lens being the fact that it was produced in small quantities from 1959 to 1968. Some 2600 of these lenses were ever produced.
As per Mr. Roland Vink great site records, the first and last registered serial numbers for this type of lens were 578001 and 580610, so this mint example, serial 580151, belongs in the last ones.
Cosmetics:
GREAT FIND! This lens looks UNUSED and is rated to be in like new condition. It comes in the original pristine Nippon Kogaku Tokyo Triangle-Logo bubble, in the original matching numbers, intact box.
Mechanics/Optics:
Lens works perfectly all the way and the optics feature crystal clean and clear glass even if some tiny dust particles are present between the inner elements.

This lens has both the Nikon rangefinder bayonet mount , does not have a focusing helix and features a manual diaphragm with a pre-set ring..
The rear element of the lens is surrounded by a 39mm Leica thread mount that fits the original bubble sold with the lens.
