There are many different sizes of belts available on the market. Too many different ads making it hard to find the correct size for your Player. Make it easy, one source for all your belt needs.
These belts may fit AR, Bose, BSR, Crosley, Garrard, Marantz, Kenwood, Panasonic, Pioneer, Rex O Cut, Sansui, Scott, Sony, Technics, Yamaha and many other makes. Also, these belts may be used for other applications, such as Transfer Mechanisms, flywheel drives, etc.
Our belts are made of Neoprene 65 degree durometer, which is a material that stretches to approximatly 10% of its original size under normal use.
First, you must obtain the circumference of your belt. Circumference is measured in inches. Two ways to measure the belt.
First, pinch both ends and lay flat on a ruler. Measure the pinched belt and multiply that measurement by two. Second method is cut the old belt and lay on ruler. The length is your circumference.
Next allow for stretching and choose a smaller belt.
When do you know you have the correct size?
Once the belt is installed, Stop the platter and view the motor
If the motor stops quickly, it is too tight, you should have a slightly larger belt
If the motor continued to spin freely, it is too loose, you should have a slightly smaller belt
If the motor slows down but does not stop, you are ready to use your player
