For sale is a stunning tea set from Pickard with the handpainted Adam Border design and heavy gold accents and trim.
CONDITION:
PRISTINE! The full set is in mint condition with absolutely no visible chips, cracks, flea bites, or repairs. The paint and glaze are also crisp, clean and 100% on all pieces. The heavy gold trim is 98% with only extremely slight wear on the creamer handle and one handle of the serving tray. Please see all of the photos and message me if you have questions.
MEASUREMENTS / WEIGHT:
Serving tray: 14" across from handle to handle and 5" across the other way.
Teapot: 4 1/4" tall with lid and 3" tall to the spout. The base is 2 1/2" in diameter.
Creamer: 4 1/8" tall to the spout with a 1 3/4" diameter base.
Sugar: 3 1/2" tall with lid and 5" across from handle to handle. The base is 2 5/8" in diameter.
The full set weighs 2 lbs, 5 ounces.
MARKINGS:
Each piece is marked on the base with the black "Pickard Handpainted China" backstamp over a gold maple leaf, indicating this set was manufactured between 1912-1918. Please see photos.
