Antique J H Dallmeyer 12x10 Rapid Rectilinear Brass Lens, Rack & Pinion Focusing
. The markings read-  “J H Dallmeyer London 12x10 Rapid Rectilinear No 22454” and “Watson & Sons 313 High Holborn London”. The Lens dates to 1873. The approx. focal length is 16 inches.
The lens comes with a Waterhouse slot, and rack and pinion focusing. The screws may not be original with one missing. The Lens optics back surface shows slight dullness and marks due to constant cleaning, the front surface is slightly more cleaner with lesser marks than the back surface.
There is light balsam edge separation to both the front and back cells. Approx dimensions- 3½ inches height, 3½ inches front dia; 2¼ inches back dia; 63mm mounting thread dia. Great collectible.
