Dallmeyer Triple Achromatic Lens No. 1 6x5 Early Brass Camera Lens from 1863

Here is a rare early Dallmeyer Triple Achromatic Lens No. 1. I dated the lens by its serial number to 1863 and this is the No. 1 version which was made to cover 5x6. It is slotted for waterhouse stops but does not come with any. The glass is clean and clear. The focal length is approx 8 1/2" and it throws an excellent image on the ground glass. There are some slight imperfections on the lip of the front lens hood. It has its mounting flange so is all ready for mounting and use. An excellent early brass lens from a top maker.
