Auction is for a
GOERZ DAGOR Series III 1a 6 1/2 Inch f:6.8 LENS in Xecell SECTOR SHUTTER, with retaining ring and 2 generic Plastic Lens Caps, in Good Condition!  Cable release that comes with lens is not functional.  Cable release (shown in Photo 6) used to test the shutter is NOT Included.
Most of the Shutter Speeds are slow or sticky, so I would recommend a CLA'D for the shutter, although the condition of glass in this lens makes a great candidate for a remount into a more modern shutter by S.K. Grimes.  Gold Lettering om the bezel around to front element looks as fresh as the day it was painted on.
The UnCoated Glass appears to be clean and clear.  There do not appear to be any Scratches or cleaning marks.  Just a small bit of dust.  I would describe this lens glass as being in Excellent to MINT Condition!!

A few General Comments about a Lens’ Condition:
What is the difference between a scratch in the glass of a lens and a hairline wipe mark? A scratch can be felt when you gently run a fingernail across it and a hairline wipe mark is only in the coating and cannot be felt. A scratch may refract light if it’s deep enough. A wipe mark won't.
Vintage means usable but not necessarily perfect optically, mechanically or cosmetically.
