large format lens: Baush & Lomb Tessar 1c 305mm

Description

Here is an antique large format 305mm Baush and Lomb lens. Variable iris shutter f4.5 to f32. The outside dimension of the front lens is 4 3/16 inch in diameter and the rear mounting flange is 4.5 inches. This is a heavy lens weighing 4 Lbs, 2.8 ounces. Seems to be in good condition. There is No fungus or extruding glue around the edges. Seems to have a few dust specs inside. I did not try to clean. It looks clear to me but I am not an expert on lenses. I would guess from researching the "VS" serial number it is from the early to mid 1940's to 1950s.
