A series of large passenger boats of Project 1430, such as the Alexander Green, was launched in the cities of Kherson, Illichivsk and Baku in 1970. The first ships of this series were operated in Yalta, Odessa and Yevpatoriya. This series of passenger boats was the most successful, as it combined great capacity, speed and relative comfort (especially after the glazing of the middle cabin). Motor ships were operated in all sea basins of the USSR, inland waters (rivers and lakes), as well as abroad.
The magazine gives a version of the ship model “A. Glazunov ”, built by the Kherson Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Plant named after Comintern in 1977, serial number 23.
