    Description

    Item:
    Vintage SAKAR Deluxe Super Wide
    Very Important Note:
    This item comes from a
    MASSIVE
Collection of SLR Medium Format Film Cameras that I have been given to sell for the original owner's widow.
From what I've learned this is for a
    VIDEO CAMERAS
    AND
    SLR Cameras And Lenses
    .
Unfortunately, a couple months ago when I started I basically knew nothing about vintage film photography but I have learned a lot since then.  Long story short, the one and only original owner had basically ONLY
    Canon & Pentax
    .
90% of the  items were literally New/Unused in Original Boxes or Open Boxes and possibly used.
They were kept so clean with original interior packaging we couldn't tell if they were used or not.  The original got too ill to go outside with many of them but experimented in his shop with many not even using film.  He was a semi-famous natural photographer in the U.S. and I have box of awards next to me right now all stating his name.  This item is one of the most perplexing items of his collection and even some of the buyers I've met here on Ebay who helped me so much don't know much about this except for the obvious.
My question to them is why does this box have a 0 price sticker on it
and a couple similar ones I found cost max.  Same brand, but different model of course.   I open to any help anyone has on this one.   Please read my recent feedback on photography items to see how pleased all recent buyers have been because everything is so near pristine if not pristine!!!
    Unfamiliar with the company
    "SAKAR"?
    I was too...how about "
    Vivitar"
?  Was born out of "Sakar".  Read Below.
    Description:
    For Sale is a
    1997
    SAKAR Model 4601T Titanium
Clear Medium Deluxe Super Wide 0.42x AF High Resolution Lens With Macro for
    Day/Night Video Recording & SLR Cameras/Lenses.
How's that for a title? As I opened the package seemingly for the first time I was impressed how many parts this item is comprised off.  There are literally 3-4 individual glass lenses that all fit together descending in size.  I immediately put them back together for fear of not remembering what order they were in.  There are standard type lens caps on both ends. Also in the package are four threaded rings similar to "filters" but with no glass.  They are:
    1): S7/52mm Japan 2): 49mm Japan.  3): 58 (circle with line through it) SER VII Japan.  4):  S7/55 JAPAN.
The original instruction sheet is here as well.  This item is about 2 3/4" w/Caps on both ends.  On the side of the box it reads
    "
The Professionals Choice Day/Night Video Recording"
and on other side of the box it reads
"To Fit (numerous brands) and all Fine SLR Cameras And Lenses".
I am sure my photos will best further describe this item.
The Original Price on side of box states:
Reg. Price: 9.99   Our Price: 9.00
indicating he got it on sale I assume.
It is dated July 31, 1997 as date of manufacture I believe.
    Condition:
On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidently grade this item's condition to be a
    solid 9.5.
I have very little doubt that I am the first person to have removed this item from the box which I had to do for photos and inspection.
It is of course untested, but I see no reason why it wouldn't be as mint as the day it was made.  It has been stored in a proper environment over the last decades and shows absolutely NO issues such as Mold/Hazing or wear of any kind.
Everything is at least 95% Immaculate.
I only grade items a "10" if sealed in the box.  If the original and single owner ever used this, he took great care to put it away to appear nobody ever had.  My photos are an accurate depiction of this item's
    TRUE
    Condition.
    WHO IS SAKAR?:
Sakar was a company that produces third party premium lenses for Pentax & Canon, now seemingly rebranded as Vivitar and Kodak these days.
